Getting my Santa outfit ready for the Santa Fun Run this Saturday at Battersea Park, London. Another fun 2:09 Event - raising money while getting fit. Carpuccino, of course, will be there helping to keep everyone warm ...
Carpuccino is all about quality. From the coffee beans we select and the equipment we use, we want every cup to bring a smile and consistent taste to our customers.

Hellishly Cold!
This weekend, Carpuccino will be trying to warm up the brave souls attempting Hell Down South - a cross country trail run as hellish as it sounds! Somewhere between 10 and 13 miles long (as if details matter!) this run is set to test anyone's stamina skills. With weekend temperatures hardly due to rise much above freezing, brave runners might find they're having to crack the ice on waist deep puddles, before charging through them! The one blessing is at least you can get a decent hot cup of coffee when you're done doing the crazy stuff!!! See you there ....

Carpuccino is currently at the Christmas Market
at the Air Army Museum in Middle Wallop,
providing the stall holders and visitors with a
warming coffee on this blustery day! Thankfully we're all in the hanger and out of the rain ...
amongst the choppers and air displays, of course!

Carpuccino gets Lazy ...
Ever wanting to learn more about coffee and to sample new flavours, Heather @ Carpuccino has recently switched her espresso blend to that of local Bath coffee celeb - Lazy Jose. Regulars at Charlotte Street Car Park are now have their taste buds put through their paces with this fruity, chocolate espresso flavour, know as 'Just Have 2'. You Just Have to try one ....
Reducing pollution in Bath ...
Yesterday, First Group launched a new Hybrid bus which BANES plan to trial out on all of their Park and Ride sites. Designed to run solely on electricity in the City Centre, when buses run at 15 mph or less, this is surely an environmental step forward for the fine City of Bath!
As ever, thick in the middle of the action, Carpuccino was at the launch at Odd Down Park and Ride providing local dignitaries with delicious fresh coffee, tea and freshly baked cakes. It went down an (electrical) storm :)

Was it destiny or Fete??

This weekend Carpuccino was at the fun and fantastic 'village' fete in Shrivenham - I say 'village' as it's a big local event that attracts a good 3,000 folk or more! From vintage cars, dog shows, good old fashioned tug of war to delicious fresh coffee!! This year was its 30th Anniversary and yet again, as it has for the last 29 years, the weather played ball, the sun came out and all rain clouds evaporated. Looking forward to next year already! Thanks for a great day guys!

The NEW Look!
For outdoor events, Carpuccino can now provide some comfy, shaded seating where you can relax and enjoy your coffee while watching the world go by - or the event take place!!
Riding High!!
Yesterday, Carpuccino was thrilled to be part of Bath's first SkyRide - where 7km of road was closed off to traffic in Bath, and people were invited to cycle as far or for as long around the route as they wanted! Sponsored by Sky and B&NES, and organised by Running High, the event was one of 12 happening around the UK this summer. Free to participants, the event was aimed at getting folk out on their bikes, and the wind in their hair! It was great to see so many young kids involved, and so many fun bikes! Carpuccino had a great day servicing delicious fresh coffee in the Sky Village at the Royal Crescent - and is already looking forward to next year's event!

Cowdray Park Polo Gold Cup
Last weekend, Carpuccino was in West Sussex at the Cowdray Park Polo Gold Cup - the equivalent in Polo of the FA Cup! Carpuccino was there with Col Grumpy and his coffee bus working together to supply delicious fresh coffee, teas and snacks to a huge crowd! It was our first polo event and we're not quite sure we've got a hang of all the rules in polo - but we get the idea! A really fun day!

In the shadow of Tewkesbury Abbey ...
What a great turn out on Sunday for the Tewkesbury Half Marathon! Perfect weather, a little chilly but sun with no wind! Perfect weather for running in - though the spectators found it a little chilly to begin with. But no fear - as Carpuccino was near!! A great event organised by 209 Events - as ever. Congratulations to everyone who took part - see you again next year!!?!
Wanderland Walk
Sadly the weather didn't play ball on Saturday for the Wanderland Walk across the Marlborough Downs. However, despite that, a hardy group of supporters did turn up and completed either a 3 mile walk or 14 mile walk, with some even running both distances!!
Bear Grylls was there to see everyone off with a smile - all efforts were to raise money for Help for Heroes! Congratulations to everyone who competed - and as ever Carpuccino was there for the day to keep everyone warm!

With thanks to Argos for the loan of their car park, Carpuccino was there to keep everyone warm (yes - despite the sun it really was cold!) supporting Argos' chosen charity - The British Heart Foundation.

Vine and Craven Hunt Point to Point
Last Sunday Carpuccino did its best to keep spectators and competitors warm at the Vine and Craven Point to Point at Barbury Castle. Numbers weren't quite as high as last year, however the day was certainly eventful with some exciting racing throughout the day.

Roaring Success
Carpuccino had a great day on Sunday at Longleat. Around 1,000 runners took part in the 10K event organised by 2:09 Events on a route, which was surprisingly hilly, through the amazing grounds of Longleat Park.
In terms of coffee, we were swamped but managed to get a quick couple of photos before the runners arrived!

Great taste and now GREAT LOOKS too!

Heather from Carpuccino spent a day under the expert guidance of Daisy from Coffea Arabic mastering the skill of Latte Art. It's not as easy as it looks! Five hours and about 100 cups later, Heather managed to produce some art that looked vaguely like it was supposed to ....
Practise, practise ... Carpuccino's coffees will now look as good as they taste!

Start of the point to point season

Last weekend saw Carpuccino at the first of many point to point's this winter, the Royal Artillary Point to Point at Larkhill. It was an eventful day, if not a little chilly, but then Salisbury Plain isn't particularly know for its temperate climate in January!

A chilly start to the New Year!
With night time temperature's getting down to minus 10 at times, it's a challenging time for Carpuccino! With a tank, coffee machine and various small pipes full of water - its tough stopping the whole coffee van from freezing up, however so far we seemed to have managed it!
Now we just need to the ground to thaw so the rugby tournaments and point to points we're supporting this month can go ahead!
Fingers crossed!
